Cinco de Mayo!

Are you ready for Cinco de Mayo? There are sure to be parties and events in your area, and the 5th of May honors Mexican heritage. Celebrate with friends, food, and maybe a concert.

Spring events

Spring is coming, and the events reflect the changing season. Look forward to music festivals, flower shows, and MLB spring training. I can't wait to get out of the house and shake off this cabin fever!

A little Romance

11:46 AM, Monday, February 08, 2010 ~Host
I know there are a lot of people who can't stand Valentine's Day. Some are single and want to stay that way, some are lonely, and others don't want the pressure to spend a lot of money on gifts. (Does that sound like your boyfriend?)

But everyone needs a little romance in their life. Valentine's Day is a time to focus on your relationship. And even if you just broke up, are in the middle of a divorce, or choose to stay single, you can still celebrate with a friend or someone you want in your life.

Valentine's Day can be a miserable holiday if you're not in love, but only if you let it. Why not turn it around and choose a way to celebrate that's right for you, no matter what your situation is. And if you are in love, then find some way to show how much you appreciate your partner. (Writing a love letter is free!)

Groundhog's Day

Tomorrow is the big day... Groundhog's Day 2010! All over the country, groundhogs will emerge from their dens and predict the weather.

In Pennsylvania, there is a whole day of events, food, and lots of fun with Punxsutawney Phil. And other states have their own groundhog, too. I love this holiday!

Almost February!

Wow, it's almost February, and that means Groundhog Day and Valentine's Day. I found a Groundhog Day celebration in a nearby town, but it starts at 6am, and I'm not a morning person. BUT... a groundhog will be there.

I also made reservations for Valentine's Day. My first choice was already booked, but luckily I got a spot at my second choice, a nice Italian restaurant.

Did you make Valentine's plans?

11:46 AM, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 ~Host
I know it seems early, but it's a good idea to get reservations now. If you wait until the last minute, the best seats will be gone. Some good options are Romeo & Juliet, a romantic musical like Dirty Dancing, or a concert. And if you don't have a Valentine, you can make plans with a friend in the same situation....who know what might happen?

Valentine's Day shows

It's not too soon to think about a Valentine's day gift. If you want to buy something different, why not take your Valentine to a show? You can find a romantic concert, musical, or a special Valentine's Day event.

Next Year

Now that the holidays are over, I hope you had fun! Now we can make a wish list for next year, just in case there wasn't time to do everything you were planning to do in 2009.

But don't worry, the great thing about the holidays is that there's always another chance to enjoy them, next year.

Happy 2010!

Do you have plans for New Year's Eve? Going out to eat is fun, or you can catch a holiday show before they close. It's the last chance until next year, so I'm thinking about it.

Last minute seats

Merry Christmas Eve! Although most holiday shows end very soon, you can still find last minute seats as a gift or just for fun. So if you tend to procrastinate, now is the time to act.
